The Ultimate Guide to Caring for Your Organic Soap Bars

Welcome to your soap bar care guide!

Naturally made soap bars require a little more care and thought compared to your usual chemically infused soap bars, but with the right care, our handmade soaps will be your new bathing best friend!

How often can I use my soap bar?

You can use your soap bar every day! You and your soap will be happy no matter how often you use it so long as you make sure to properly care for it in between uses.

How do I care for my soap?

To ensure your soaps longevity this is what we recommend!

Keep it dry: After each use, make sure to place your soap bar in a well-draining soap dish or on a soap saver to allow it to dry out completely between uses. This helps prevent the soap from becoming mushy and extends its lifespan.

Store it properly: Store your soap in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid storing it in a closed container or plastic bag, as this can trap moisture and lead to deterioration.

Rotate your soap: To prevent any one side of the soap from becoming too soft or mushy, rotate it regularly. This ensures even drying and extends the life of the soap

Use a soap-saver bag: Consider using a soap-saver bag or pouch to hold your soap. These bags not only help the soap to lather more effectively but also allow it to dry between uses, prolonging its lifespan.

Keep it away from water: When not in use, keep your soap away from water sources such as the shower spray or sink. Excessive exposure to water can cause the soap to dissolve more quickly.

Cut larger bars: If your soap bar is large, consider cutting it into smaller pieces. This not only makes it easier to handle but also ensures that you're only using a portion of the bar at a time, thus preserving the rest.

Use a soap dish with drainage: Choose a soap dish with drainage holes or ridges to allow excess water to drain away from the soap. This helps prevent the soap from sitting in a pool of water, which can cause it to soften and break down faster.

My soap has purees and other perishable ingredients, Will it go bad?

The beautiful thing about making soap using the cold process method is that whatever typically perishable ingredients are inside the soap are well preserved. Just care for your soap per usual!
